I've spent most of my day in Starbucks. Revising, of course.
Some of this revision stuff amuses me. The wording of things in my Chemistry textbook: Now, let us do a really nasty example with oxygen 'all over the place'!. Oh yes, let us! And let us clarify our colloquialisms with inverted commas!
Now even I'm not that nerdy.
What was far more amusing than my Chemistry textbook (I suppose it's not hard) was Mike's revision for his ethics exam. He has to discuss homosexuality, and people's veiws on it. He found this hilarious video (You can watch it here - www.youtube.com/results?search… if you're interested). It details the story of distraught parents whose child was given a book explaining that some kids are brought up by gay couples. The most amusing parts are faked crying, the dramatic music, and the presenter saying about 5 times that this affects every family, including yours. Yes people, 'every', includes yours. Just in case you didn't know. Oh, and the bit where the guy who got arrested for protesting against this 'indoctrination' of his child, describes the assigning of this book as 'agressive' behaviour on the schools part.
For some reason, that video reminds me a bit of ' Perversion for Profit', a hilarious 1965 film explaining the evils of pornography. It includes wonderful phrases like No matter who buys this material, 75-90% of it ends up in the hands of our children... threatening to pervert an entire genration of our American children. It also includes many amusing pictures of 60s porno (bit ironic for a film showing how looking at this stuff is so immoral)
You can watch a whole group of unintentionally hilarious propaganda vids on this website: listverse.com/2007/07/30/top-1…
Another thing I've seen today which I find simultaneously disturbing and amusing was an advert on dA for breast agumentation starting at just £99!
The final amusing thing I wish to share with you all is this: when I got home today, I Googled 'bill kaulitz' because I want to see what his new hair looks like, and the search returned a webpage titled Tears of pain fall forever. I may need to change my taste in music.

World Autism Day - my story
It has been confirmed. As of the 19th February 2010, I am a fully authenticated autistic. Asperger's Syndrome, to be specific. I've decided to just refer to it as autism, as it's shorter and that way I don't have to live with a condition that sounds like Ass Burger.
It's taken a while. Autism is a lifelong thing: I've always been autistic, just now I've got a word for it. I've got a word for why I like to touch hair, for why I freak out about things the way I do, why I make odd squeaking noises (apparently I sound like the squirell from Ice Age), why I get obsessed with some bizarre thing and rant about it inappropriately. And those aren't e
Stand Up For Mental Health
Want I wanted to show everyone:

This guy, David Granirer, is a stand-up comedian who suffers from depression. He then had the fantastic idea of teaching people with mental illnesses to do stand up comedy... generally joking about their mental illness. I actually think his bit is a fantastic way to tackle stigma as well as being very funny.
My favourite of the comedians is Alex http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRv2rrgGZSA&feature=channel
I also recommend Joan, and Paul's comments about his cat. ;)

Just had a fantastic day out with ~CocoVamp (https://www.deviantart.com/cocovamp) :iconboss-kaz-009: and
Nerd Diary + More nerdiness I forgot about!
Those of you who've read the info at the top may be wondering what scientific porn is. I have just finished watching one of the most popular videos on newscientist.com - MRI sex. It shows an MRI scan of a man and woman having sex. It may not really be porn, as it's not intended to get anyone aroused. It may not really be scientific. It did win an IgNobel prize. I did giggle while watching it.
Last Wednesday, I went to one of the Science Museum's Lates with TheKinkyShrink (https://www.deviantart.com/thekinkyshrink). They open the museum late for adults only. When we arrived, 2 minutes after it opened, the queue stretched right down the road and around the corner. We waited in a ca
Results and Rooms
I just got my exam results - AAAC :faint: That's better than I'd expected. I only needed BBB to get into Warwick, so that's definitely confirmed now :D
At home, I'm moving from the big bedroom back into the small bedroom - swapping with my sister. It's quite nice in the little room, but I don't know where I'm gonna put all my bags :O_o:  I can now throw away a load of stuff about universities I'm not going to, at least that'll clear space.
I feel the need to post this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWCYDaZHl6Q&feature=related
I can order my textbooks now. And buy cutlery and things for uni. And as silly as that is, that seems very ex
